Happy Birthday to me!

On the 23rd of December, I turned 19! Hooray! *Birthday horn sound*
+ I love my boyfriend! 3 years!!! =D
I’ll post my outfit (or at least one of them) next week! ^^ I’ll let you enjoy your holidays first. ^^

So this is THE premiere! Tadaaaaaa: My SELFMADE (100% pure manual labor) hat/hood animal ear thing! =D Whatever you may call it; it’s warm. And that’s exactly what I need right now! ^^ There’s just one thing missing: the paws. I wanted to make some fluffy feet for my hood, but it was sooooo damn cold and I couldn’t resist! I had to wear it! =D So I’ll keep you updated and I’ll let you know when that beast is the proud owner of some awesome paws!

Ow, before I forget! I have to prepare my exams during the holidays… It’s really important to me (and I’m scared as hell about an oral exam of cell physiology…), so I’ll try to post as often as I can (and I promise: no crappy stuff ;D). But please, don’t start crying if I don’t update for about a week! =D I’ll be back…

I hope no one noticed my absence… =D

Well, I’ll explain: I had some lab sessions. Quite A LOT lab sessions! Two weeks non-stop ‘cell thingies’!  Growing kidney cells in culture etc. ^^ So, I had lots of work.

Ow! I’m also a mom since last week! No I don’t have a baby! I've got a little baby chicken! ^^ I follow a course called embryology. We had to put a chicken embryo onto a little piece of glasswork, so we could let it grow and learn from its development! Really interesting shit! =D I’ll upload a picture of it next time! ;D

It’s reaaaaaaaally snowy! And reaaaaaaaally cold! And I think I’ve got a brain freeze, just by thinking about the weather!

Sooooo: Warm clothing!!! =D A big poncho/cardi + Cashmere shirt + long scarf equals cozy warmth… And girls! Why do we wear high heels (approximately 11cm) in snow (approximately 15cm)?!

No, no, no! Bring out the furry yeti boots or moonboots!

This is a post to my boyfriend:
I really enjoyed your birthday party!!! And happy happy happy birthday! =D

I made him this card! It’s a hand drawn fairy with a troll playing some sort of instrument (because my boyfriend is a musician, who knows how to play EVERYTHING =o He’s a band on his own… =D).
All of our friends wrote their name on the back (and damn! That card was full of names! =D).



Mmmm… small synopsis of the party:
we ate to much (as always!), we sang to much (Singstar…), we laughed to much (my laughing muscles ache! I’ll save you the real anatomical names… =p), we talked to much (my voice is gone! Although it also could be because of the singing…) and we ate some more of course…

Re-Shaped

Crazy hair day! =D
I made these pictures for a Lookbook contest: You had to re-shape your hair in two different ways while wearing the same outfit!

The first look was inspired by the movie ‘The last Airbender’. It’s a very earthy and natural look with an overload of braids (5 braids!)!

The second look is a more baroque-punk (and a bit of a Geisha) look.
I wanted to make it really extravagant, so I added a big orchid and a necklace (who said that you can’t wear jewelry in your hair?!).

(By the way: This is my own hair -> No fake hairpieces or extensions, no fake braids!) 

I also made two more shots wearing a much better outfit! Velvet baby! =D And of course: the maxi dress I bought some time ago!

The contest is still open until tomorrow…  So if you want to help me out… *angel face* HYPE HYPE HYPE moehahaha!!!!!!

Halloween: Barbie is a creep.

WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT SERIOUS… THIS WAS MY HALLOWEEN OUTFIT!

So please, don’t think I would really dress like this in real life! =D

A few weeks ago, I told you that I would dress up as the scariest person I know.
Well, that girl is Barbie.
Why?
Mmmm where should I start?

If Barbie’s disproportionate body isn’t creepy enough, read the rest of my arguments….

She stares at you! Even if you look that doll straight in the eyes, she will still look right through you! Her eyes are devoid of any signs of life…

Barbie is stiff and soulless, especially in those awful Barbie movies.

She walks tiptoed all the time!

The new ‘Cam Girl Barbie’ needs no further explanation, I think (go check that girl out! xD).

That’s why I decided to be Barbie for one day! 
I know, I know… Halloween was last week… But I had to wait for these pictures all week! ^^

Ow: That Champagne bottle is actually Kidibul. It’s non-alcoholic Champagne for kids! ;D So don’t think that you have to be really drunk to look so ridiculous xD

DIY: Butterfly Wing Nail Art

As promised: Butterfly wing nail art tutorial!  ^^
Maybe for Halloween...?

To make some things clear (after hearing it a lot today…): Yes, those are my own fingernails. Yes, I paint my nails all by myself. =D


Hope I’ve made these steps clear! If you have any questions, please ask!

What do you need to achieve this look?
* 2-3 shades of orange nail polish (or you could also try light and dark blue, yellow, red,…)
* Black nail polish
* White nail polish
* Toothpick or eyeliner pencil

How to do it?

Step 1
Firstly, you should give your nails at least 2 coats of orange. Use a darker shade of orange (or even two shades) to give it a more realistic wing effect.  You should try to let the 2 or 3 colors blend into each other.
Let it dry! This is very important! ;)

Step 2
Secondly, you take the black one. Paint a sort of triangular shape at the corner of your nails. Draw pointy ‘arches’ with the pencil starting from the triangle you painted.
This is the tricky part: You should connect the arches with an imaginary point at the other end of your nail.
(<- Is this sentence clear enough? =p)

Step 3
When the black nail polish is dry, start painting some white dots!

Step 4
Finish with shiny topcoat!

I HATE Belgian weather! =O It’s raining cats and dogs! But Mother Nature gave me a beautiful rainbow to look at! ^^  (or maybe even two? ) I shot it with my cell phone to share it with you! =D

Well I’m feeling a little French today. ^^ So I grabbed my beret! I’m also wearing my pastel colored corset and a blue pleated skirt. =D And an umbrella… off course!

Ow! I did my nails! xD I made a butterfly wing tutorial and I’ll probably upload it tomorrow (if I have enough energy left after a blood experiment… yay school! xP)!

I wanted to show you this outfit without my jacket. ^^

So this is what I wore to ‘Flair Shopping day’ in our mall. Flair is a magazine for women (I actually never read it… only when I’m waiting at the Chinese restaurant for my takeaway meal =D).
You could do lots of activities at the mall: toe reading, Flair cover photo shoot, try on a wedding dress, confess your darkest secret… and you could get a haircut! One of my friends did that… The hairdresser cut her bangs sooooo horrible! Her bangs had such a strange angle and her hair wasn’t straight… So after the shopping day, I grabbed me some scissors and tried to fix it! ^^ (Hallelujah! It looked great and I didn’t screwed up more! xD)

Mmmm by the way: I got so many nail art ideas… I wanted to do one for Halloween, but my nails are too short now (this look must be done with long nails) :/ What a shame!
Plus: I can’t wait for Halloween! =D I’m gonna dress up as the most scary person I know =O

They make me a bit megalomaniac! I mean, I look really tall wearing those trousers, so I act like I’m ‘model tall’. =D Mmmm… Yes, I agree. That doesn’t make any sense at all! xD
Well, let me say one more stupid thing in this post: My shirt makes me think of a toreador, or torero (whatever you prefer). Olé!  xD
I adore the detailing on the shoulders. ^^

So this is my university outfit today… Nothing special to tell you actually! =D I assume that not many people love reading my babbling about what I learned at ‘Immunology’ today... ^^

I’m still really sick, but I’ll update my blog anyway =D
I had an amazing weekend! ^^ My boyfriend was super sweet because I felt so shitty (all that harsh coughing is also bad for your mental health =p)! So we went to the cinema Friday and we went shopping yesterday (I bought a HUGE maxi dress!). Ow, and he made me a ‘feel better fan’, a piece of paper folded as a fan with a sweet message on it! ^^

Dear Vampire Doctor...

Sigh… I’m quite sick.
I didn’t say a word for over 4 days because my throat was so sore and now I’ve almost got pneumonia. Argh… Being sick sucks! =O
I wanted to take looooooots of pictures this weekend! The weather was so nice and I had some amazing outfits bubbling up in my head!

BUT: I did my best today! ^^ (I noticed some people stopped following me this weekend… Well, that’s just lame =p)
So I went to the doctor this afternoon and she took some blood (again), that’s why I call her miss Vampire from now on =D I hope she’ll find what’s wrong with me this time ^^ (-> I keep getting bronchitis… A whole year long and also from since I was little)
...But enough about my blood now o.O

So I got back from miss Vampire and decided to take some shots of my outfit! Because my followers are sweethearts!^^
And believe me, after taking 4 photos… I just crawled to the door, barely made it to the stairs and crashed on my bed! I felt so sick and tired! =O Damn, I’m whining or I’m in some kind of state of delirium xD Please don’t read this post, it makes no sense at all haha…

Ow some good news to end: My number 100 sweetheart was Nayantara Sam ! woohoo! =D
